Woolaroc Trails and Wildlife Drive

May 10, 2025

Located just outside of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Woolaroc offers visitors a chance to see wildlife roaming the large expanse of the park in their drive-through feature, including an American bison herd (commonly called buffalo around here) that originated from South Dakota, water buffalo, longhorn cattle, Scottish highland cattle, llamas, zebras, elk, fallow deer, sika deer, miniature zebus, and ostriches (the world’s largest bird).

At the end of the drive you’ll find the visitor center, a snack bar, a museum, and some pretty nature trails. They offer two easy trails, the 20 minute Warrior Loop made of asphalt and stone and the half hour Outlaw Loop which is a bit rockier and rougher than the Warrior Loop. I easily traversed both of them after the park opened at 10, and then headed out just before storms arrived.

If you’re wondering, they do have an excellent museum, which I have been to many times, but today was all about the nature. Here are some photos from my nature day at Woolaroc.
